Hi, Everyone -

May 3, the date of our picnic at the sanctuary-to-be, is the birthday of a very special dog named Miracle, who survived one of the worst cases of animal abuse ever; so we'll also be celebrating her rescue and recovery and eventual adoption by Liz Keller, the founder of the sanctuary, which will provide refuge for so many other dogs.  In the attached flyer, the official invite for the day (please feel free to pass it along), you'll see photos of Miracle and Liz and get pertinent info.  I'm also attaching a Wish List; if you'd like to bring a gift for the sanctuary (think of it as a birthday gift for Miracle), there's plenty to choose from.  They need everything!  If you choose to bring a blanket or comforter, either new or used, my friend Lou had the great idea of using it as your picnic blanket and then leaving it behind. 
 
Oh-so-synchronistically, May 3 is also the first day of Be Kind to Dogs Week!
